David denHartog continues the story of Samuel in the Making a Difference series.  As Samuel heard God’s voice in I Samuel 3, he was asked to speak into the life of the High Priest of Isreal.  For the life of the High Priest was a mess.  God is also calling us, as believers in Jesus Christ, to speak […]

David denHartog continues teaching on how we can make a difference in our world today.  It is difficult to parent; a challenge to be a good father.  These are hard days in which to raise a Godly family.  But, how do you raise children that are Godly?  What is the most important thing for Dads […]

David denHartog begins a new series, Making a Difference, on how we can make a difference in today’s culture.  He uses the example of Hannah from I Samuel 1 to help us understand how we can be effective mothers, as well as effective fathers and grandparents.

Dean Elliott teaches from John 15:26 to 16:33 about how he deals with Murphy’s law.  How do you react when everything goes wrong?

Don Hunt teaches from Hebrews 12, during Youth Sunday.  In Hebrews 11, we are shown posters of people to emulate, and then Hebrews 12 is how we are to live a life of faith.  Don redefines endurance, joy and discipline to encourage and challenge us in our Christian walk. (There is no video recording of today’s sermon.)

Dean Elliott concludes the Necessaries series with the third item we all need to pack in our traveling bag on the Christian life journey.  It is the practice of going to God the Father.  We have an audience with the Living God through the Holy Spirit because of Jesus’ death.  What does that look like in your […]

Dean Elliott continues the Necessaries series on the absolute essentials when packing for the journey of the Christian life.  Whatever your struggle or challenge, a dependence on the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit is necessary for success. Scripture References: Isaiah 48:11-12; Zechariah 4:6; Roans 8:10-15; Matthew 12:22-32 (You may need to fast-forward the video recording.  We had […]

Dean Elliott begins a new series, Necessaries.  When you go somewhere, you want to pack exactly what you need.  Some items are specific for the place you are going and some items you have to pack no matter where you are going.  What are the necessary things that everyone needs to pack for the Christian life? […]

David denHartog completes the study of First Corinthians, teaching on Chapter 16 and focusing on verses 13-24.  Here, Paul gives a final charge, calling the Corinthians to be battle ready.  How are we to be battle ready?

We all have failures and regrets in life.  The Old Testament is filled with people who made mistakes and failed.  The New Testament too – Peter denies Jesus three times.  Does God have a plan for people who have messed up?  Can God use your story of failure to help others?  David denHartog teaches from […]

David denHartog completes the Forever Young series from I Corinthians 15.  In verses 50-58, Paul seeks to motivate us and show us the means that enables us, before he gives us the bottom line.  Why does the resurrection make a difference?

Dean Elliott teaches from Matthew 11:25-30 for the Good Friday service.  Its Friday…but Sunday’s coming!

Dean Elliott continues teaching from I Corinthians 15, in the third of the Forever Young series.  We will be given another physical body after we die.  Paul gives the Corinthians two reasons for why this is true.  One, which he discussed last week, it was theologically necessary.  The other, Dean teaches about this week.

Dean Elliott continues teaching from I Corinthians 15:20-34 about death and the importance of the resurrection – to awaken us to our destiny.  Paul is answering the Corinthians question of “How do you say there is no resurrection?”

There are three standards of evidence in our judicial system: preponderance of evidence; clear and convincing evidence; and evidence that is beyond reasonable doubt.  When it comes to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there are also three lines of evidence.  Pastor David denHartog explains them and expounds on evidence that is beyond a reasonable doubt […]

Don Hunt continues teaching from John 10.

Don Hunt teaches from John 10:1-11 about the sheep who know the Shepherd’s voice.  Do you know the Shepherd’s voice?  Are you following Him?  Or, are you following the thief and the robber who try to come over the wall and steal you away with their shiny lures?

David denHartog wraps up the NEXT GENERATION NOW series with a lesson from Zechariah 4:1-14.  The people are building the temple and God speaks through the prophet Zechariah.  The building will be built “not by power, not by might, but by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Everything has been given to us by God.  We are called to demonstrate our love to others, and to God.  What is the ultimate test of your love for God?  The answer is given in 2 Corinthians 8:1-12.  David denHartog explains this passage and the ultimate test.

David denHartog teaches from 2 Corinthians 9:5-11a on “grace-giving.”  Grace-giving is separate from tithe giving.  This passage outlines four characteristics of grace-giving.

Dean Elliott continues teaching about tithing; from Hebrews 7:1-10.  What is a tithe?  Why is the tithe 10%?

Nursery rhymes are intended to help children learn about our world in fun and memorable ways.  The book of Proverbs is intended to help us learn the basics of a wise person.  In this sermon, Dean Elliott explains Proverbs 3, focusing on verses 9 and 10.  Do you know what it means to tithe?

David denHartog teaches from I Corinthians 14 and explains the difference between the spiritual gifts of prophecy and speaking in tongues.  We all come to church with deep needs.  God uses others in the church to meet those needs, through spiritual gifts.

David denHartog begins with a question: What do you think of when you hear “church?”  The church exists to make disciples – to become disciples and to make disciples.  In other words, to build up the church.  In I Corinthians 14, Paul gives three factors that are necessary for building up the people within the […]

Dean Elliott teaches from I Corinthians 13, explaining it within its context.  God’s DNA is love, and this is what love looks like.  It is better than any Spiritual gift. Dean also explains last week’s sermon title, “Fingerprints.”  When the Holy Spirit picks you up, by the gifts of the Spirit, and carries you away, he […]
