Sunday Mornings
Preparing for a Visit
You will receive a matching numbered security tag for your child, which you will present at pick up time for each child. The leader will collect your pick up tag as well as your child’s name tag when you come to get them. Children may only be picked up with the matching tag that you received at check-in. We do not release children to children. It’s important that the leaders know the parents and that the guardian that dropped off the child be responsible to pick them up. If there is an emergency change, you will need to discuss it with the Children’s Minister or Preschool Director.
Class child/volunteer ratios are watched closely to provide the best learning environment possible. We require two adults, or one adult and one youth leader, in all rooms at all times to provide support for the leaders as well as additional helping hands for the children.
Your cell number will be on your child’s name tag, so keep your phone on vibrate and close by just in case a leader needs to reach you.

Sunday Morning Age Groups
Infants – Pediatricians recommend that infants have their first round of shots before being placed in a nursery setting, which is usually around 6 weeks of age. Therefore, our nursery begins accepting infants at 8 weeks and older. Children stay in this room until they are walking steadily and confidently.
Ones – Steady and confident walkers to 2nd birthday
Twos – Two year old children; promote after their birthday
Threes – Three year old children; promote after their birthday
Please check with the Nursery/Preschool Coordinator before moving your child. Sometimes, we may need to delay moving your child into the next class due to current class numbers. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Classroom Play – Children are offered age-appropriate toys and surroundings in each classroom.
Large Play – The children in Ones, Twos and Threes classes enjoy separate playtimes in the large group space, the “Big Room”. In pretty weather, they will enjoy the outdoor play area, on an appropriately sized playground.

- Fever (must be fever-free for 24 hours)
- Vomiting or diarrhea (within the last 24 hours)
- Rash
- Inflamed throat and/or mouth
- Colored discharge from eyes or nose
- Coughing /sneezing
- Unusual irritability or fatigue
- Head lice (or known exposure to head lice)
- Open wounds without proper bandages
- Children being treated with antibiotics should be on the medication at least 24 hours before coming to class
- Symptoms of childhood diseases (chicken pox, German measles, mumps, scarlet fever, fifth disease & whooping cough).
- All changing surfaces are disinfected after each diaper change;
- All toys are sanitized after use;
- Pacifiers, bottles, and sippy cups are labeled with owners’ names to prevent sharing. Pacifiers, bottles and sippy cups are disposed of if not taken home after an event.
