We want you to get your hopes up, as opposed to “don’t get your hopes up.” Second Peter is about living life today in the light of prophetic truth. We often have to reassess things in our life – health, house, the garden we thought we knew everything about. Do we ever reassess ourselves spiritually? How do I get from here to there? How do we grow spiritually? In this passage, we see two answers to this question. God gives us everything we need to grow. We can also take some small steps to grow. Do you know God? Are you growing in God?
