The Monster in our Midst

*Please note – this sermon is preached from a passage that requires maturity.  The message is suitable for pre-teens and teens. Please be prepared to answer any of your children’s questions should they arise after referencing Leviticus 18.  Thank you for your support as we look through all of Scripture as the infallible, inspired Word of God.

Dean Elliott teaches from Leviticus 17-18  and I Thessalonians 4:1-8.  In I Thessalonians, Paul is sharing with a largely Gentile audience, who do not know the Old Testament commands, how God intends for someone who has access to Him to change and to stand out from the world around them, and how that effected their human sexuality.  We see also in Leviticus a three part pattern — proper worship leads to a response that sets you apart from the culture around us.  There is nothing like your approach to sexuality that will make you different.  We are made in the image of God, and both male and female together in marriage represents this image.
