Names

Dean Elliott teaches from Colossians 4:7-18, the last of the series in “Christ, Our Life.”  Lists of names are typically not interesting, unless your name is on the list or you know some of the people on the list.  This section is largely a list of names and represents an ancient snapshot of Paul’s life at the time.  We can see how important it is to connect – to not be alone.  Dean also helps us to take a look at the spaces where connection take place and the mess that comes with being in connection with people.  One can’t have connection with people unless you make spaces for it, and if you’re not willing to deal with the mess.
