Motivation for Christian Living

David denHartog teaches from Matthew 17:1-13.  Every General knows the importance of a battle plan when going into a battle, but its often his final charge that becomes the motivation for his troops as they engage the enemy.  And that General knows the importance of motivation.  Every coach knows the importance of a game plan, but his last speech before he sends his athletes onto the field is often what motivates them.  Wherein lies the motivation to live out the Christian life?  One source is to look back and reflect on the love of God and the blessings He has given us.  Another source is to reflect on the present workings of God and His Spirit within us.  There is a third motivation that we see in this passage – the prophetic word of God and its importance to our life.
