David denHartog begins the Same Page  series from First Corinthians with “A Ship on the Sea.”  Ships that take on enough water will sink and move toward shipwreck.  A ship is meant to sail on the sea, but not take in the sea.  So it is also with a church that takes on enough of the world -it will sink.  The church is meant to live in the world, but not take the world in.  How do we avoid that shipwreck?  It all begins with identity.
