Dean Elliott shares that the most painful thing he sees in pastoral care is disharmony in the family – dissolution of a marriage or a break in relationship between parents and child. Psalm 14 offers an explanation of a problem that we’ve all had experience with. It also helps us understand how we can pass on the faith to our kids. In the Evangelical Church today, the statistics say that 70% of kids raised in one of these churches, leave the church after they leave the home. Not only that, but their values are remarkably different from their parents. Dean wants to address the issue of the home as the place where discipleship should take place.
