Sunday Mornings

Preparing for a Visit

Service times are at 9:00 & 10:45 AM for Infants through 4th grade.

Label your child’s diaper bag, pacifiers, sippy cups and other personal items. Pack extra diapers & wipes and a change of clothes. To save time, write down any additional information the teacher may need to care for your young child. If you are able, go to the app store on your phone and download “Church Center.” Follow the prompts, select “Cleburne Bible” and enter your child’s information. This will speed up the check in process once you get to CBC. No time for this? We get it! We have a team of leaders in place to help you register your child once you arrive.
Our volunteer team will help you check in when you arrive in the Children’s Welcome Center. You’ll receive your child’s name tag at that time along with a matching claim tag that you will use when you pick up your child. Our volunteers will help you locate the correct classrooms.

You will receive a matching numbered security tag for your child, which you will present at pick up time for each child. The leader will collect your pick up tag as well as your child’s name tag when you come to get them. Children may only be picked up with the matching tag that you received at check-in. We do not release children to children. It’s important that the leaders know the parents and that the guardian that dropped off the child be responsible to pick them up. If there is an emergency change, you will need to discuss it with the Children’s Minister or Preschool Director.

Class child/volunteer ratios are watched closely to provide the best learning environment possible. We require two adults, or one adult and one youth leader, in all rooms at all times to provide support for the leaders as well as additional helping hands for the children.

Your cell number will be on your child’s name tag, so keep your phone on vibrate and close by just in case a leader needs to reach you.

Our youngest CBC Kidz are nurtured and loved on Sunday mornings by caring volunteers as well as paid childcare staff. We watch for teachable moments to engage children in learning about Jesus’ love for them in a fun, loving environment!

Infants – Pediatricians recommend that infants have their first round of shots before being placed in a nursery setting, which is usually around 6 weeks of age. Therefore, our nursery begins accepting infants at 8 weeks and older. Children stay in this room until they are walking steadily and confidently.

Ones – Steady and confident walkers to 2nd birthday

Twos – Two year old children; promote after their birthday

Threes – Three year old children; promote after their birthday

Please check with the Nursery/Preschool Coordinator before moving your child. Sometimes, we may need to delay moving your child into the next class due to current class numbers. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Classroom Play – Children are offered age-appropriate toys and surroundings in each classroom.

Large Play – The children in Ones, Twos and Threes classes enjoy separate playtimes in the large group space, the “Big Room”. In pretty weather, they will enjoy the outdoor play area, on an appropriately sized playground.

Preschool (4 years – Kindergarten)

Our four, five & six year old children are beginning to engage in understanding who God is. We are excited to introduce them to the stories of Jesus as they begin to understand we serve a remarkable God! Children are involved in a variety of structured activities based around a Bible Story. Each activity and song for the morning is selected to help the children remember the lesson and have fun. Children also have an opportunity to play in our Big Room or outside on the playground, have a snack, and engage in an activity or game tied to the morning’s story.

Music in large group space before moving into classrooms. The curriculum is “The Big Picture” by Watermark Community Church. This is a 12-month curriculum with key Bible stories that repeats each year.

Preschool Curriculum Schedule

Fours/Fives – Four and five-year-old children who are not in kindergarten will be promoted after their birthday. Those who are starting kindergarten will be promoted on Promotion Sunday (to be announced).

Kinder – Children who are currently attending Kindergarten will be promoted to 1st grade on Promotion Sunday (to be announced)

Please check with the Nursery/Preschool Coordinator before moving your child. Sometimes, we may need to delay moving your child into the next class due to current class numbers. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Elementary (1st – 4th graders)

Children in first through fourth grade meet in the children’s wing for large group worship and Bible study before dividing into smaller groups.

First Hour (9:00 AM Service) – Groups are based on the numbers attending. Currently, we have small groups, so there is a girl’s class and a boy’s class.

 Second Hour(10:45 AM Service) –

1st-grade girls

1st-grade boys

2nd-grade girls

2nd & 3rd grade boys

3rd & 4th-grade girls

4th-grade boys

As students enter, they play at the game tables, then they move into a time of worship, a devotional, and move into classrooms. Kids are then engaged in Bible study, discussion, and activities related to discipleship, missions, and life application of the Scriptures. Dismissal is from classrooms.

Healthy Child Guidelines

Thank you in advance for helping us provide a healthy environment for all the children who attend at Cleburne Bible. Parents are the key participants in making sure this happens by honestly evaluating their child’s health before dropping them off for care.

Parents will be asked to take the child home if they have the following symptoms:

  • Fever (must be fever-free for 24 hours)
  • Vomiting or diarrhea (within the last 24 hours)
  • Rash
  • Inflamed throat and/or mouth
  • Colored discharge from eyes or nose
  • Coughing /sneezing
  • Unusual irritability or fatigue
  • Head lice (or known exposure to head lice)
  • Open wounds without proper bandages
  • Children being treated with antibiotics should be on the medication at least 24 hours before coming to class
  • Symptoms of childhood diseases (chicken pox, German measles, mumps, scarlet fever, fifth disease & whooping cough).
  • All changing surfaces are disinfected after each diaper change;
  • All toys are sanitized after use;
  • Pacifiers, bottles, and sippy cups are labeled with owners’ names to prevent sharing. Pacifiers, bottles and sippy cups are disposed of if not taken home after an event.
