All Dressed Up…Some Place to Go

Dean Elliott finishes the series, Connecting in Community,  by teaching from Ephesians 4:25-5:1.  In this passage, there are two basic strategies that are associated with our old man – instinctive to us.  The writer of Ephesians, Paul, identifies them at the the beginning of the passage, and then develops them in three ways.  Paul uses the metaphor of changing clothes – taking off one set of clothes and putting on another – to help us understand how behaviors can truly change.  With this also is taught the etiquette for community.  A person needs to change the way they dress, the way they think, so that they can feel comfortable in community.
