WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

OFFERING BOXES – are located at the front and side entrances to the building and just inside each door to the worship center. Online giving is also available, as is text giving.  For the phone number and/or directions, please click HERE, or you may pick up directions at the Kiosk.

BAPTISM – Will take place again on Sunday, October 14. If you desire baptism at that time, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with one of the pastors.

DISCOVERY CLASS – will introduce you to the mission, vision and values of CBC, as well as our history and the many ministries available to you. The class, which meets for 4 consecutive Sundays in Room 109 at 9:00 AM, is required for membership or if you desire to serve at CBC. If you are new here or have not been through the Discovery Class and would like to know more about CBC, sign up today at the kiosk and you will be added to the waiting list for the next available class sessions.

Children

MOM LINK – is for moms of young kids birth thru pre-k.  The first meeting of the year is September 11, from 9:30-11:30 AM.  Childcare is currently full, but register now to be added to the waiting list. Space is still available for moms who do not need childcare.

AWANA – We began our first Club night with 120 kids! This Wednesday is Red, White and Blue Night. Wear our country’s colors proudly!! We still need volunteers to help with games. If you would like to have more information or are interested in helping, please see Jeremy or contact him at 817-933-2578.

Students – The HUB

Calling all HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH!!  Come join us at 6:00 PM today in the Student Ministries Area for a special evening. We will begin a study of the book of Philippians – don’t miss it!!

Adults

UNPLUGGED – A Night of Worship, Thursday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m, in the Community Area.  “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You.” Psalm 63:3

SPECIAL EDITION – Frontline for Men meets each Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Rooms 109-110. The purpose of this class is to prepare men for workplace evangelism, and is led by Outreach Pastor, Don Hunt. No sign-up needed, just show up!

RE|ENGAGE MARRIAGE MINISTRY – begins this evening, meeting from 6:00-8:00 PM. Cost per couple is $50. Commitments and payments are due by September 16. Sign-up in the Community Area. If you need childcare, please include number of children you will need care for when you sign up for the class.  You can also find information and the link for online registration HERE.

OPEN GROUP – is a starting point for building relationships with others at CBC. The goal is for small groups to spin off from this group and begin to meet in homes as people build relationships and find common ground. Open Group will be led by Larry Neutzler (817.980.9077) beginning on Sunday, September 9, meeting at 6:00 PM in Room 101. What about the kids? Contact Barbra Valerio to register infants through 5th grade. Once you have reserved their spot, always contact Barbra if they are not coming. This helps her to have the correct number of leaders available on Sunday evenings. Barbra’s number is 817-648-9878.

AN AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) CLASS – begins September 17, 6:30 PM. Pre-register at the kiosk. Cost: $12.00 (per family). More info: Becky Ebert: 817-933-4220 or ebertba@yahoo.com.

THE JOURNEY – Through a safe and confidential group process, our curriculum leads you through your own stories of pain, disappointment and abuse, equipping you to share the care you receive with others. We help you create authentic community where people are heard, loved and healed together. The Journey begins with a retreat on September 28-29, then will meet each Monday night through the first part of November. Please stop by the table in the Community Area to get more info or to sign up.

LADIES NIGHT OUT – Thursday, October 25, at 6:00 PM, a Painting Class & Dessert will be hosted by Womens Ministry and MOM Link here at CBC. Payment ($35+tax) and a painting selection are required to reserve a spot. Call 817-357-0679 or stop by Hamilton’s General Store on Ridgeway to RSVP; tell them you are with Cleburne Bible Church. Your RSVP is required by September 17.

NEEDED –  Brian needs someone to volunteer to come in once a week to water the plants that you see around the facility. If you enjoy taking care of plants and feel this would be a good place for you to serve, please see Brian or contact him at 817-933-1326, or by e-mail at brian@cleburnebible.org.

Hold this date!!! THE ANNUAL WALK FOR LIFE – on September 29 helps provide free pregnancy testing, sonograms, counseling, pre-natal and parenting classes for our clients. Our goal is to have 300 committed walkers from our community to acquire pledges which help support the Center. More information is available at the WFL table in the Community Area.
