WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

OFFERING BOXES – are located at the front and side entrances to the building and just inside each door to the worship center. Online giving is also available, as is text giving.  For the phone number and/or directions, please click HERE, or you may pick up directions at the Kiosk.

BAPTISM – Will take place again Sunday, September 8. If you desire baptism at that time, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with one of the pastors.


CBC Kidz present STRAIGHT OUTTA BETHELEM, a Christmas Musical to be presented by kids in grades 2 – 6! Sign-ups end TODAY!! Circle the dates of Friday, December 13, and Sunday, December 15, on your calendars for the presentations of the musical!!

AWANA – begins THIS Wednesday at 6:30 PM. You may still register your children at the table in the hallway to the children’s area. If you would like to help with AWANA please see Jeremy Longoria at the table.

10:45 Service Hour:
Nursery: 2 year old leader – (dividing current class in half)

*5-yr-old leader
*Four more volunteers to assist in toddler/ preschool area (rotating schedules)
*Music / Video tech person for preschool worship time
*Special needs buddies – one on one attention for variety of needs

*Assistant needed for Lonzo Williams as he leads 2nd & 3rd grade boys.
*Kid Check greeters & check-in assistants
*Special needs buddies- one on one attention for variety of needs
*New curriculum includes some skits – could use 2 to 4 people who enjoy drama!

“Floaters” – people who are willing to assist where needed as needed either service! Meet in the lounge area in new children’s wing for an assignment based on emergency or need.

Student Ministries – The HUB

SEPTEMBER 11 – Combined Middle School and High School Student Ministry from 6:30 – 8:15 PM at Cleburne Bible Church. Snacks – Worship – Teaching – Connect with your Small Groups.


CBC iSERVE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS – to help with serving lunch to teachers and staff at TEAM School on Thursday, September 19. If you would like more information or can help, please contact Nina Mangrum (817-372-2150).

MARTI WRANGLER BIBLE CLUB –  will start up on October 1, meeting from 3:30 – 4:40 PM at Marti Elementary School located at 2020 West Kilpatrick in Cleburne. You MUST complete the CISD background check and have it turned in and approved before the first club meeting! Questions? Contact Phyllis McPherson at 817-202-5148.

HOLD THE DATE OF NOVEMBER 17 FOR GOD’S THANKSGIVING! We will need MANY volunteers to be available to help with this great outreach for sharing the gospel and a Thanksgiving meal to our community.

Launching This Month

DISCOVERY MEMBERSHIP CLASS – introduces you to the CBC mission, vision and values, our history and the many ministries available to you.  The class meets for 4 consecutive Sundays at 9:00 AM and is required for membership or if you desire to serve at CBC.  You may sign up at the kiosk.  Sessions will begin Sunday, September 8, and will meet in Room 109.

OPEN GROUP – is a starting point for building relationships and find common ground with others at CBC. Open Group will be led by Larry Neutzler and begins Sunday, September 8, meeting at 6:00 PM in Room 101.  

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY (FPU) – is a 10-week course designed to help you build a budget, dump debt, grow your wealth and leave money stress behind! Class begins Sunday, September 8, at 9:00 AM in Room 110. For more information see Ben or Sara Bowles at the FPU table in the Community Area.  You can sign up here:, or if you sign up and pay at the table, you will get the kit at a discounted rate of $105.00.

RE|ENGAGE – Weekly sessions begin Sunday, September 8, at 6:00 PM. REENGAGE examines God’s design for marriage, applying principles from the Bible to guide couples toward growth in their relationship. Cost per couple is $50. Sign up at the reengage table in the Community Area, or use the form on the re|engage page.

RE:GEN – Those who are interested in participating in RE:GEN, a biblical 12-step process structured within the context of small groups, are invited to join us on Monday evening, September 9, at 6:55 PM.

HORIZONTAL JESUS by Dr. Tony Evans – is the Men’s Bible Study that begins on Wednesday, September 11, at 7:00 PM in rooms 109-110. Men will learn how to apply biblical principles drawn from several “one another” passages in Scripture and in doing so you will reap blessings in your vertical relationship with God. Sign up at the table in the Community Area today.

OUR CHURCH WILL HOST – the “Compassion Journey” on the weekend of October 4-6. It will be an outreach to the people of Johnson County to learn through a hands-on experience what it is like for a child to grow up in poverty in a third world country. Its purpose is to give people an international missions experience and put their faith into action. Mark your calendars and plan for your family to be with us especially on Sunday, October 6. An opportunity will be given to sponsor one or more of these children for a monthly amount of $38 each to aid in meeting both physical and spiritual needs of the child and for them to be mentored through a local evangelical church.
