WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

OFFERING BOXES – are located at the front and side entrances to the building and just inside each door to the worship center. Online giving is also available, as is text giving.  For the phone number and/or directions, please click HERE, or you may pick up directions at the Kiosk.

BAPTISM – Will take place again on Sunday, October 8. If you desire baptism at that time, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with one of the pastors.

MEMBERSHIP – Would you like to become a member of CBC? Do you desire to serve in one of the many areas of ministry offered by CBC? If so, then we invite you to sign up for Discovery Class, which will be required should you desire to serve. Discovery Class meets for four consecutive Sundays each month at 9:00 a.m. Sign up at the kiosk for the next available class sessions.

AWANA CLUB – We had another great evening this past Wednesday with 135 kids in Club!!  This Wednesday is CRAZY HAIR NIGHT!  We are still in need of volunteers to help in grade 3 & 4 girls and boys, Sparks, and with Games.  Please pray for this ministry, that God will lead someone to minister to the kids who attend AWANA at CBC.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact Jeremy (817.933.2978) or Vicki (817.980.9091).

CBC MOM LINK – connects women, enabling them to journey through motherhood together.  Mothers of children age birth through pre-k are invited to Mom Link on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11:30 AM.  The next meeting will be October 10.  Childcare will be provided for children three months through pre-k for a small cost, but space is limited so register HERE soon!  Questions?  Contact Leigh Smith at 817-648-4987 or leighwsmith@sbcglobal.net.

MISSIONS AWARENESS SUNDAY BBQ – October 1 is Missions Awareness Sunday and there will be a BBQ lunch served from 10:45 AM -1:00 PM. PLEASE NOTE: TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE so we will know how much BBQ to prepare. Tickets are on sale today in the Community Area at $10.00 per plate. Proceeds will benefit iServe Missions.

ABF: LIFE STAGE 4 (Adult Bible Fellowship) – Join Kevin and Mindi Bentley during the second hour in SMA-A for The Last Days: The Book of Revelation, which uses the Old Testament and Hebraic roots to interpret the complex vision of John regarding God’s plan for mankind as it unfolds in the last days. All are welcome.

OPEN GROUP – If you are not a part of a Small Group, then THIS is the group for you! Join us this evening at 6:00 PM in Room 101!

BIBLE CLUB – It’s almost time for Wrangler Bible Club to start up again! We need willing volunteers to help. We’ll have a volunteers’ meeting TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 at 4:00 PM at Marti for all who are interested. For more information call Jill Goodgion 817-240-6383 or 817-202-0124. First club meeting is Tuesday, October 3, and each Tuesday afternoon following.

THE JOURNEY – a small group for those who struggle with disappointment in relationships, old wounds or failures that still cause pain, begins with a retreat on October 6 & 7, then will meet each Monday night. For more information or to sign up, stop by The Journey table in the Community Area

MEN’S EVENT – Men, mark your calendars for Saturday, October 7, at Cross J Ranch!!! The evening will begin with burgers & dogs, which will be provided, at 5:30 PM at the arena, followed by a hayride out to the Overlook at 6:30 PM. Clint Rutledge, a highly sought-after speaker and author both nationally and internationally, will be the featured speaker. Clint, who is the son of legendary high school football Coach D.W. Rutledge, both challenges and entertains audiences with his signature storytelling. He will share on the topic of how fathers can build character into their children. More information on Clint is available at the kiosk. Because burgers and dogs are provided we MUST have a good count so please RSVP NO LATER THAN Tuesday, October 3!!

OPPORTUNITY FOR MINISTRY – A ministry was begun, through iServe, a couple of years ago that is in need of a new leader. This person needs to be able to repair/refurbish bicycles and have a place to store them. The bikes are given after they are repaired to children whose parents/families cannot afford bikes for them. If you are interested in this ministry please contact Stan Gray (817.357.2922).
