Scripture: Matthew 5:38-48

WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

OFFERING BOXES – are located at the front and side entrances to the building and just inside each door to the worship center. Online giving is also available, as is text giving.  For the phone number and/or directions, please click HERE, or you may pick up directions at the Kiosk.

BAPTISM – Will take place again on NEXT Sunday, November 11. If you desire baptism at that time, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with one of the pastors.

DISCOVERY CLASS – will introduce you to the mission, vision and values of CBC, as well as our history and the many ministries available to you. The class, which meets for 4 consecutive Sundays in Room 109 at 9:00 AM, is required for membership or if you desire to serve at CBC. If you are new here or have not been through the Discovery Class and would like to know more about CBC, sign up today at the kiosk and you will be added to the waiting list for the next available class sessions.


AWANA – Club is back this Wednesday, November 7, with Boys Night Out. But we look forward to seeing ALL Clubbers this Wednesday! Come for the fun as we learn about Jesus and His love!!

MOM LINK – MOM Link Playdate, Wednesday, November 7, 9:00-11:00 AM – Bring a friend and join us for a fun time for the kids. All preschool families are invited! We will meet in Student Ministry Area B (next to the kitchen); enter through the doors to the left of CBC Office entrance.


GOD’S THANKSGIVING – God’s Thanksgiving will be hosted by CBC iServe Missions on Sunday, November 11!! The times are 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Our guests will be people from our community who are less fortunate and may need assistance with a Thanksgiving meal. Please remember that ALL sacks that were taken to be filled with grocery items are due to the church TODAY!! Also, don’t forget to stop by the God’s Thanksgiving table in the Community Area and sign up to help make this event as successful as the past years have been!

MENS BREAKFAST – All men are invited to join us for a special Men’s Breakfast NEXT Saturday, November 10 at 8:00 AM here at CBC! The highlight of the morning will be interviews with some of our own CBC veterans. You are encouraged to invite older sons and grandsons who would benefit from hearing real Vets share about their service to our country.  Please RSVP to or 817-641-8142 x201 so that we will have enough food prepared.

SHOEBOXES – with packing and labeling instructions for Operation Christmas Child are located at the booth in the Community Area TODAY. Please take a box to fill for a child who may not receive anything for Christmas. Filled and labeled shoeboxes can be dropped at the booth the next two Sundays – November 11 and 18. NOTE! Operation Christmas Child requests that you DO NOT PUT candy, toothpaste, gum, seeds, food, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable/glass items, war-related items, aerosol cans, used or damaged items of any kind in the shoeboxes. Donations for shipping ($9.00) are also appreciated.

DECK THE HALLS and Celebrate the Season! Can you believe we are already moving into the 2018 Holiday Season!?? That means Brian needs volunteers to get the Christmas tree up and decorated in the Community Area in preparation for the greatest celebration of the year – the celebration of the coming of the Messiah! We need the tree up BEFORE Sunday, December 2. If you would like to help, please contact Brian (817-933-1326 or

FRONTLINE NEEDS MEN AND WOMEN ON THE “FRONT!” We are recruiting volunteers to serve on the “front” where first contact with CBC is made with visitors and others who are new to CBC. Contact Don Hunt (817.933.5564) or Michael Hess (817.682.3490).

Thank you to all who donated and helped in making CBC’s Family Flannel Fun Night a wonderful night of fellowship for our church family!  A special thank you to Circle D Engraving (Erik & Julie Dumas) for donating the honorable mention spoons and engraving all our awards!  Congratulations to all our winners of the chili and pie contests!  And thank you for all the generously donated candy. The leftover candy was given to Marti Bible Club and CBC Children’s Ministry.

Thank you for the cards, beautiful flowers, prayers and good food that you sent our way when our mom, Dorothy Simmons, passed away.  It is such a comfort to know that you care for us in so many tangible ways.  Jesus’ love shines through you!
