PDF: Bulletin November 18, 2018

Today’s Message: Thanking God for Simple Things
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 2:24
Testimonies of Thanksgiving and Praise – Members of the CBC Family

WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

LIVE STREAMING – Live Streaming is available for both worship hours!  Click HERE.

OFFERING BOXES – are located at the front and side entrances to the building and just inside each door to the worship center. Online giving is also available, as is text giving.  For the phone number and/or directions, please click HERE, or you may pick up directions at the Kiosk.

BAPTISM – Will take place again on Sunday, December 9. If you desire baptism at that time, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with one of the pastors.

DISCOVERY CLASS – will introduce you to the mission, vision and values of CBC, as well as our history and the many ministries available to you. The class, which meets for 4 consecutive Sundays in Room 109 at 9:00 AM, is required for membership or if you desire to serve at CBC. If you are new here or have not been through the Discovery Class and would like to know more about CBC, sign up today at the kiosk and you will be added to the waiting list for the next available class sessions.

Children

AWANA – We had 108 Clubbers this past Wednesday. There will be NO CLUB this Wednesday due to Thanksgiving Holidays. We will see you on Wednesday, November 28, for Pajama Night when you can come dressed and ready for bed when you get home after Club!!

PARENTS, PLEASE NOTE –
** Sunday morning, November 25, children in first through fifth grade will attend the adult worship service with their families. We like to call this a “family worship” day and seriously believe it is valuable for our elementary children to be included in adult worship when possible. Infants through kindergarten will have their normal Sunday morning routine, but may be combined into mixed age groups depending on the number of leaders available.

** NO Middle School Sunday School

** Sunday evening, November 25, there is no Open Group scheduled but Re|engage will be meeting in order to stay on track with their schedule. Special childcare arrangements have been made to accommodate this group’s request. Other groups, please enjoy the time with your family!

Adults

SHOEBOXES – TODAY IS THE LAST DAY that Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes can be returned to CBC. SHOEBOXES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT CBC AFTER TODAY.

FRONTLINE NEEDS MEN AND WOMEN ON THE “FRONT!” We are recruiting volunteers to serve on the “front” where first contact with CBC is made with visitors and others who are new to CBC. Contact Don Hunt (817.933.5564) or Michael Hess (817.682.3490).

ANGEL TREE – Angel tags will be available NEXT Sunday for you to choose from!  Please look for the round table in the Community Area after worship next week and choose an angel tag or two and provide Christmas gifts for children of our community in less fortunate circumstances. The names will be of children of East Cleburne Community Center, Johnson County Welfare, and Prison Fellowship Ministries. Please return your wrapped gifts with tag attached to the tree by December 9 to ensure they are delivered to the children in time for Christmas. If you have questions, please contact Stephenie Smith (PFM) or Wendy Elliott (ECCC, JCW).

Thank you…

A special thanks for all the love, support, calls, visits, gifts, food and especially the prayers during the time of my Dad’s Homegoing! It has meant so much for our family!
