WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

We are having a Cajun Cook-off potluck lunch, great music from the worship team, homemade ice cream, water balloon dodge ball and much more!  Bring your own lawn chairs and serving spoons/forks/salad tongs! But it takes a village to pull this off!  There are sign-ups in the Community Area by the Missions Wall for food, drinks and volunteering.  All you adventurous cooks out there – try something new and enter the Cajun Cook-off!  You can bring etouffee, jambalaya, gumbo, shrimp and grits, po’ boys,….. For those not bold enough to enter the contest, there are lots of sides and desserts to bring, so be sure to sign up!

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY – The Wednesday evening Bible study for men resumes this Wednesday, June 12, with a change in the meeting time and place. We will meet in Room 101 (the large room opposite the Community Area from the kitchen) at 6:30 PM rather than 7:00 PM. Pastor Dean will restart the study of the Book of James with chapter 3 this week.  As always, light refreshments will be served.

THE CLEBURNE POLICE DEPARTMENT will host another Citizen’s Police Academy beginning on August 6. This will be an introductory class in which officers from different departments explain what they do, giving you the opportunity to learn the inner workings of the CPD. You can be tasered (if you like), operate a radar gun, arrest a cop (role reversal), get fingerprinted and other activities. If you would like to volunteer some time there, sign up now. Fliers are available at the kiosk in the Community Area, or see Joe Quinn for more information.  There is more information about the Citizen’s Police Academy here.
