“Prayer That God Will Always Answer”
Scripture: Matthew 6:6-16

WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

OFFERING BOXES – are located at the front and side entrances to the building and just inside each door to the worship center. Online giving is also available, as is text giving.  For the phone number and/or directions, please click HERE, or you may pick up directions at the Kiosk.

BAPTISM – Will take place again on Sunday, January 13. If you desire baptism at that time, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with one of the pastors.

DISCOVERY CLASS – will introduce you to the mission, vision and values of CBC, as well as our history and the many ministries available to you. The class, which meets for 4 consecutive Sundays in Room 109 at 9:00 AM, is required for membership or if you desire to serve at CBC. If you are new here or have not been through the Discovery Class and would like to know more about CBC, sign up today at the kiosk and you will be added to the waiting list for the next available class sessions.

Children

SAVE THE DATE – Parents of CBC Kids! Mark your calendars so that your children do not miss Pine Cove Camp in the City!! The dates are set for July 8 – 12! Be watching for more information in the weeks ahead, but get the dates on your calendars NOW.

The HUB

HOLD THESE DATES! –  D-Now is scheduled for February 8-10. The theme is “Pursuit,” with a focus on God’s pursuit of us and the things we pursue that get in the way of our relationship with God.

Adults

NEW BIBLE STUDIES – Beginning on Sunday, January 20 at 9:00 AM you will have a choice of two new studies.
*Basic Training in Bible Doctrine will meet in Room 110, and will be led by Pastor Dave and Pastor Dean. There will be a small fee of $10 to cover the cost of the book.
*Evidence of Creation, a 13-week course led by Dr. Barney Maddox, will meet in Room 101. These sessions will consist of very in-depth discussions on the evidence of the reality of creation.

ATTENTION YOUNG ADULTS AGE 18 – 30!! We resume meeting this Tuesday, 7:00-9:00 PM, at the home of Kevin and Bethany Sale, 1606 Hemphill Drive. All young adults 18 – 30 are welcome! Questions? Contact ksale@cleburnebible.org.

LADIES BIBLE STUDIES – Ladies Bible Studies kick off this month with *Max Lucado’s Ten Women of the Bible resuming THIS Wednesday at 6:30 PM in Rm 101. You can join this study now if you would like. This study is led by Yvonne Looper. On Thursday, January 17, the *Precept study on Galatians as well as the study, *Seamless by Angie Smith, will be offered with both beginning at 9:30 AM. Galatians will be led by Sunny Quinn; Seamless will be led by MaryAnn Ewing. Sign-ups for the studies AND for any needed childcare are located in the Community Area.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY – The first session of a study in the book of James begins THIS Wednesday, January 9, at 7:00 PM. Pastor Dean will be leading; all men are invited to join us!

WEEKLY PRAYER MEETING – Yes, we have weekly prayer meeting each Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM in Room 110, just across from the Student Ministries Area. Come and pray with us as we seek the guidance of the Lord in our lives and in our church.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) CLASS – will be offered again beginning Monday, January 28, 6:30 PM in SMA-B. Pre-registration is required; look for the sign-up table in the Community Area.
