Sunday Bulletin – January 26

PDF: Bulletin January 26, 2020

Today’s Message: “The Parable of the Compassionate Father”
Scripture: Luke 15:11-32

WELCOME to Cleburne Bible Church. If you haven’t made a decision to trust Christ as your personal Savior, our hope and prayer for you is that you will make that decision. “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

LIVE STREAMING – Live Streaming is available for both worship hours!  Click HERE.

OFFERING BOXES – are located at the front and side entrances to the building and just inside each door to the worship center. Online giving is also available, as is text giving.  For the phone number and/or directions, please click HERE, or you may pick up directions at the Kiosk.

BAPTISM – Will take place again Sunday, February 9. If you desire baptism at that time, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with one of the pastors.

Adults

SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE SUNDAY – There are still unfilled baby bottles at the display in the Community Area! Please take one or two and fill them with change, bills or a check and return them no later than Sunday, February 2. The absolute last day to return them to CBC IS February 2. The money from the bottles helps to support the Cleburne Pregnancy Center and their mission of saving the lives of unborn babies and ministering to babies’ mothers!

The CLEBURNE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY ENCHILADA DINNER – will he held today from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Cleburne Conference Center. Tickets are available at the door. The dinner is the annual fundraiser in support of the Cleburne Christian Academy.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY (FPU) – helps people be better stewards of what God has given them and become more comfortable discussing money with their spouse (or accountability partner if you’re single). Not only does it help you make a plan to get rid of debt, it helps you to understand an overall financial picture – including insurances, mortgages, investing, budgeting, and contentment. FPU is set to begin on Sunday, February 2, at 9:00 AM. Class runs for 10 weeks and is $100. Sign up online at www.FPU.com/1111131 or contact Ben and Sara Bowles at 817-455-7501, or at the table in the Community Area.

Community Groups TIME CHANGE for Superbowl Sunday!! REENGAGE, Open Group and Community Groups will be meeting from 5:00-7:00 PM NEXT Sunday evening, February 2 (Superbowl Sunday). Children’s Ministry will be provided from 5:00-7:00 PM. COMMUNITY GROUP LEADERS, if you have parents of young children in your group, please contact Barbra Valerio – 817-648-9878 – regarding reservations for those children.

NEXT GENERATION NOW – If it is your desire to continue to fulfill your intended Next Generation Now contribution, we would be grateful. As the children’s addition has been fully paid for and all debt retired before the end date of the campaign in March, all contributions continuing to be received will be directed toward saving for the much needed and, prayerfully, not too distant addition for Youth Ministries and a remodel of the present space for expansion of adult ministries.
