We consider it a privilege to be trusted with your child. Each infant, toddler and preschooler is handled with care and prayed for each time they visit our classrooms. Through simple loving care, teachable moments, songs of praise and tender voices, these little ones begin to recognize the church as a place to be loved and cared for as they learn about Jesus.

Infants (8 weeks) to 3 years

Our youngest CBC Kidz are nurtured and loved on Sunday mornings by caring volunteers as well as paid childcare staff. We watch for teachable moments to engage children in learning about Jesus’ love for them in a fun, loving environment!

Care is offered during the 9:00 and 10:45 AM services, and the transition times. A new team of leaders arrives for each service to continue teaching and caring for the children.

Classes & Promotions

Infants – Pediatricians recommend that infants have their first round of shots before being placed in a nursery setting, which is usually around 6 weeks of age. Therefore, our nursery begins accepting infants at 8 weeks and older. Children stay in this room until they are walking steadily and confidently.

Ones – Steady and confident walkers to 2nd birthday

Twos – Two year old children; promote after their birthday

Threes – Three year old children; promote after their birthday

Please check with the Nursery/Preschool Coordinator before moving your child. Sometimes, we may need to delay moving your child into the next class due to current class numbers. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Activities Offered

Classroom Play – Children are offered age-appropriate toys and surroundings in each classroom.

Stroller Rides – Stroller rides are offered to children in our Ones and Twos classes. Children are taken 6 at a time, with two volunteers, around the church building or outside if the weather is nice.

Singing – The Threes class joins the Early Childhood classes for singing during the 10:45 AM services.

Large Play – The children in Ones, Twos and Threes classes enjoy separate playtimes in the large group space, the “Big Room”. In pretty weather, they will enjoy the outdoor play area, on an appropriately sized playground.
