The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

-Zephaniah 3:17

The Journey…

…is a ministry to those who have been wounded by shattered dreams, disappointments, betrayals, abandonment or any of the forms of abuse. It is a journey toward wholeness on a path with fellow travelers. The Journey consists of nine sessions, the first three being offered in a retreat setting at the church and the next six sessions on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.. The teachers are a team of trained group facilitators who have a passionate Biblical understanding of the needs of the human heart.

The Journey (Book I) is typically offered in the fall, beginning with the retreat.  Participants who have completed The Journey (Book I) are eligible to sign up for The Journey Continues (Book II), typically offered in Spring, also beginning with the weekend retreat.

Essentials for the Journey:

  • an open, seeking heart
  • a Journey Guide Workbook
  • at least 21 years of age
  • a commitment to attend

“Our fear is not that we are inadequate. Our worse fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us most. We ask ourselves the question, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and famous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God; your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in us, it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
