Being in church has always been part of my life. Although I knew all the stories and believed God loved me, there came a point in time when I knew I must make my own decision to follow Christ. Though I do not have amazing stories of rebellion, I have not always been close to God. Regretfully, as Jerry and I moved from place to place in our military life, we were sometimes totally involved in God’s work and sometimes not. We are now so excited to be in a body of believers where we can learn, grow and serve. Cleburne Bible Church is our home.
I started in iServe Missions ministry even before it had an official name. God connected us with Don Hunt who has a passion for reaching our community and soon that passion was instilled in us as well. In the short time iServe has been in ministry we have seen God do such amazing things: When we didn’t have enough food to distribute on Thanksgiving 2013, we came to the youth area on Sunday morning and found it filled with groceries; last Thanksgiving we bought 300 volunteer name tags and ran out; asked for 250 grocery bags of food and received 335, and that was exactly the right amount. Souls have been added to God’s family during food distribution in the trailer parks.
Lives are being changed – both the volunteer and those being served. Come join us!
