Student Ministries Pastor
Hi, my name is Don Hunt, I am the pastor of youth and college here at Cleburne Bible Church. I wanted to take this chance to introduce myself and share some of my story.
I was raised in a Christian home and attended church as a child. I lived most of my teen and early twenties living for myself and chasing after my own dreams. It wasn’t until after I got out of the military that God placed a call on my life and I started to make changes to represent the God I said I believed in.
I began to realize that everything I was working for was temporary and would pass away. I was mentored by my pastor and after some time, began helping out with the youth group at my church. As I started building relationships with the teens I began to experience God working in awesome ways and a passion was fanned in my heart. My desire was to help teens experience the real and living God early on in their lives. I love the energy, the spontaneity, and the raw love for God that is experienced in teens.
In the year 2001 I married my beautiful wife Karen, and in 2003 we were blessed with a son, Cole. My second son, Austen, was born in the summer of 2006. God then called Karen and I to Cleburne Bible Church and my third son, Levi, was born in the summer of 2011. These past years have been exciting and challenging. God has shown Himself faithful over and over again as He continually surprises us by constantly transforming the lives of students.
God has also blessed us with an awesome team of parents and volunteers to help make ministry happen. I love these guys and value everything they do. “When God is for us who can be against us?” I would love to invite you to step into our teen world and personally get to know our awesome volunteer staff. We have a dynamic group and are pumped about what God is doing.
