David denHartog continues to walk us through the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5. Verse 7 speaks of mercy: “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. We all need mercy at one time or another – a helping hand, someone to come alongside, a meal brought when we are sick. We will also need mercy when we stand before Jesus Christ at last. But, what is mercy? How is it demonstrated in our lives? What is the benefit to us? What does it take to receive mercy in eternity?
